Where's Alice

Alice does not stumble into Wonderland—she chooses to fall.

This series of portraits explores a visual descent into the darker aspects of the subconscious. Drawing inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, the viewer embarks on a surreal journey through an editorial lens.

The work delves into the themes of shadow work and self-exploration, using photography and compositing as tools to investigate the complexities of the self.

Each image represents a different stage of this transformation - defiance, hesitation, curiosity, surrender, and ultimately, a twisted sense of homecoming.

As Alice moves further away from her familiar world, she begins to see more clearly. In the end, she doesn't conquer her demons; she joins them.

This project is a tribute to self-acceptance; we are not only light but also darkness. Sometimes, the only way to find ourselves is to completely lose ourselves.

The Fall of Icarus

A study of figure and light

This series explores the interplay of strength and fragility, blending hard masculine elements with soft  lighting and textures. Inspired by the idealized perfection of Greek sculpture and the myth of Icarus, this figure and light study captures both ascent and descent, moments of hope and collapse.

The radiant glow of the rise reflects the intoxicating heights of idealized love, while the fall reveals its fleeting nature.

This work questions the pursuit of perfection and how beauty, love, and ambition can both elevate and undo us, like Icarus.

Red Queen

The few and the powerful

Created during the summer of 2020, a time of political unrest in the US, this portrait series draws inspiration from Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen, a dystopian tale of oppression and resistance. The series brings to life the oligarchs of that world, figures of cold, unyielding authority, echoing the detachment and dominance of real-world political leaders.

Focusing on regal busts, these portraits highlight the calculated elegance and subtle menace of power with a touch of fantasy.
